In a bowl mix together meat, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, spices and egg. Use your hands to combine well. Set aside for 5 minutes.
Divide the mixture into 20 small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Turn broiler on low and place rack at highest position. Bake for 7 minutes, then flip the meatballs over then bake for another 7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
Notes
I served mine with warmed naan bread drizzled with olive oil and they were delicious.
