Stevens Creek County Park in Cupertino, California has a vast number of hiking trails. It is also has biking and equestrian use. Fishing/non-power boating can be done at the reservoir. Picnicking is popular there and there is also an archery course. We went in spring (18 Mar 2001) to see lots of wildflowers, there are also a great variety of birds to see.
