French Toast

A favorite breakfast in our family

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf bread I like a soft Italian
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Spray frying back or electric skillet with Pam. Heat to about 325 – 350.
  • Whisk together egg, milk , vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. Dip bread quickly to cover in egg mix, but no to soak in to much. Add more nutmeg and cinnamon as desired as it floats on top if runs out fast on the first few pieces.
  • Cook on hot griddle until lightly browned on one side (1-2 mins) and flip to repeat. Add more Pam as needed. Repeat until all the mixture is used up. Usually some bread left over depending on how large it is.
  • Enjoy with your favorite topping. I like butter and syrup on mine 🙂
